St. Peter’s and our ecumenical friends will host the annual Blessing of the Animals service Sunday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. on the lawn of the Wood Youth Center. Bring your furry, feathered, and scaly pets for this liturgy of blessing inspired by St. Francis of Assisi. All animals must be on a leash or in a pet carrier. The Nassau Humane Society will be present with adoptable animals and information about ways to support their pet adoptions. We will be collecting donations for the Humane Society and have a photo booth for you and your pet to mark this special day! The NHS is most in need of wet and dry food for dogs and cats of all ages, cat litter, non retractable leashes, and martingale collars.
