Holy Baptism
“Holy Baptism is the full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body the Church. The bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble.”

More information on Holy Baptism at St. Peter's may be found in The Sacrament of Holy Baptism brochure. Once a baptism date has been scheduled, a Baptism Information Sheet should be completed and returned to the church office.
Confirmation
"Confirmation is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by the bishop."

Confirmations, receptions, and reaffirmations are performed by the Bishop and take place once a year, usually in January or February. Anyone wishing to be confirmed should take the Inquirers' Class or the Youth Confirmation Class. For more information on confirmation, please contact the church office.
Marriage
“The bond and covenant of marriage...signifies to us the mystery of the union between Christ and his Church and the Holy Scripture commends it to be honored by all people.”

Marriages at St. Peter's must be an Episcopal service performed by an Episcopal priest. For detailed information about marriage at St. Peter's, please review the St. Peter's Wedding Customary. Once a couple has spoken with the Rector and a wedding date has been set, the couple must complete a Wedding Information Sheet and return it to the church office.

Reconciliation of a Penitent (Confession)
“The ministry of reconciliation, which has been committed by Christ to his Church, is exercised through the care each Christian has for others, through the common prayer of Christians assembled for public worship, and through the priesthood of the Church and its ministers declaring absolution.”

The Reconciliation of a Penitent is available for all who desire it. To arrange a time for confession, please contact one of the priests.
Unction (Healing)
"Unction is the rite of anointing the sick with oil, or the laying on of hands, by which God's grace is given for the healing of spirit, mind, and body."

The sacrament of unction is offered the first Wednesday of the month at the 12:10 pm Eucharist and at the Celtic service at 6:00 pm on the fourth Sunday of the month.
Funeral
The liturgy for the dead is an Easter liturgy. It finds all its meaning in the resurrection. Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we, too, shall be raised. It is characterized by joy, in the certainty that "neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Deaths should be reported as soon as possible, and arrangements for the funeral should be made in consultation with the Rector. Funeral Planning Packets are available in the church office. Materials included in the packet include St. Peter's Episcopal Church Funeral Customary, Funeral Planning Form, End of Life Planning booklet, and the St. Peter's Episcopal Church Cemetery brochure.
