Sunday, August 8th is a big Sunday for children and youth at St. Peter's. We will kick off with the annual Back to School Blessing at the 9am service, this year for teachers and students of all ages!
Following the service, we will have a Children’s Registration Event where we update their information and host an open house for the Nursery and Children’s Chapel.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Rachel at our church office.
Children's Chapel, a Worship Opportunity
On Sundays during the 9:00 a.m. service, kids 4 years through 5th grade are invited to the front of the sanctuary after the Collect of the Day. At that point in the service, they are blessed and sent to worship in the Children’s Chapel together. During the children's service, the kids worship, learn and play! Once the lesson is finished, they return to take part in the Eucharist and sit with their grown ups for the remainder of the service.
Each year, we celebrate the coming of Easter with an Easter Egg Hunt! Join your St. Peter’s family for this fun-filled family event.
We host movies on the lawn in the Wood Youth Center field. Keep an eye out for announcements for these special events!
Every Christmas, we await the coming of Christ and celebrate His birth through our Christmas services. The Pageant takes place during the first service as a time for our children to lead the congregation in a Christmas story experience.
We welcome and appreciate volunteers for Sunday services and to help organize our kid’s ministry events. If you are interested in joining our volunteer team, please contact Rachel Davis. All volunteers will take part in training required by St. Peter's and the Episcopal Church before working with children.
