Delany Scholarship
The purpose of the Delany Fund Scholarship is to recognize the high priority the people of St. Peter’s place upon your future by helping fund your higher education pursuits. Since you are a high school graduate, you may now apply for an award of up to $1,000 for one year.
The Criteria

Formal acceptance to an accredited college, university, or graduate institution

Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA

The applicant must be an "active" member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Fernandina Beach, Florida.

The applicant must be Baptized and Confirmed.
The Process
If you qualify, submit a completed packet to the church office before August 1 including the following:

Proof of acceptance to an accredited college or university

Official transcript of current grades

List of extracurricular activities

Proof of membership at St. Peter’s

Financial need if appropriate

Less than 500 words about a topic below

"Bishop Henry Beard Delany overcame significant obstacles to become a pioneering leader in the Episcopal Church. Research his life and accomplishments and discuss how his example remains relevant to young people today. What challenges facing today's youth might he encourage us to address, and how can faith, education, and service help us meet those challenges? (500–750 words)"

Selection Committee
Notification of awards will be made by August 1. The selection committee will consist of a member of the vestry, youth director, and members of the congregation.
